Fine Art Appraisal

Started a fine art appraisal and valuation consultation business in 2005 where she provides appraisal and valuation services for paintings, sculpture and works on paper. Specializes in 19th and 20th Century works of art and artwork created by women artists. Trained by the American Society of Appraisers through the University of California, Irvine; complies with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

Art Selection and Installation

Created and developed her fine art company in 1997 that offers art advisory, search, selection, placement and installation services. Clients are both corporate and individuals ranging from beginning to experienced collectors. She has developed clients on the West Coast and in Hawaii that have been with her for many years.

Gallery and Exhibition Management

Managed all operations of a nonprofit, community art gallery (Danville Fine Arts Gallery, Danville, California) from 1992 - 1997, reporting to the Board of Directors of the Danville Area Cultural Alliance as an independent contractor.

Curatorial responsibility for civic gallery (Lynn House Gallery, Antioch, California) and accountable to the city's Cultural Arts Coordinator and Arts Commission.

Exhibition coordinator for National Museum for Women in the Arts, Washington, DC from 1998 - 2000. Developed material for Intrepid Women: Victorian Artists Travel, an exhibition scheduled to open pending funding.

Founded and developed a private educational program for fine artists (Salon 6 - division of Lisa Lodeski Fine Arts) focused on career development and management for artists; self-representation; and art marketing. Presented during 2001 - 2003 in lecture and workshop formats through university, civic and non-profit institutions as well as by private consultation.

Teaching

Instructor and developer of a workshop during 2005 at the Aliso Viejo Public Library, California, for fine artists funded by a grant to prepare artists for entering the marketplace.

Instructor and developer of "Professional Skills for Fine Artists" at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, Irvine, California, an advanced course in business skills and artist career issues held periodically from 1999 - 2003.

Instructor at Long Beach City College during 2002, teaching "Modern and Contemporary Art History," "Ancient to Medieval Art History," and "Renaissance to Contemporary Art History."

Lecturer during 2001 at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, Torrance, California, teaching "Professional Skills for Fine Artists," a class on fundamental business skills for fine artists.

Lecturer at California State University, Fullerton during 2001, teaching "From Studio to Gallery," an art marketing skill development course.

Instructor and course developer from 1998 - 2001 at Palos Verdes Art Center, Rancho Palos Verdes, California, teaching "Professional Skills for Artists," and "Artists At Work: Exhibitions and Sales," advanced courses in business skills for artists.
